St. Patrick's Day

A Happy St. Patrick's

We didn't do too much today for St. Patty's Day because Ian had a party at school but I did make some...

Shhh.... they are really just spinach muffins but the kids have no idea they are healthy because you can't taste the spinach at all!

Basically you are just doctoring up some boxed muffin mix and adding some spinach. (click above link for recipe)They turned out wonderful and the kids loved them!
Hope you had a wonderful St. Pats!

Kite Flying

What a wonderful day to fly a kite!

Leland had some great kite flying skills!

Always fun to watch the boys together. They made a great team!

Definitely looking forward to spring!!

They had a blast building it with dad!
They worked together as a team....

Leland worked hard at putting the wheels on his rocket car.

Happy Spring

I know it's not spring yet... technically we have until the 21st of March but it sure feels like spring around here! I think the whole family is getting spring fever.

My mom sent these super cure little planters for the kids so we finally got the grass planted and they have started to sprout.

No we are just waiting for that warm weather!
Thanks Mom!

One Great Halloween Get Together

One Great Halloween Party

We started October off with on great Halloween Party with some amazing friends!
I love getting together with my girlfriends and we all have boys! All the same age to top it off. It's just perfect.

So this year we did a Halloween party here at the house. I can't even pick out my favorite part.

We started with a little "blood" punch (ian named it that) and some Fright Bite Nachos. Plus we can't forget the Chocolate eyeballs and the Vampire teeth!

While we waited for the nachos to cook we made some place mats. I found these Bubble Guppies Halloween themed place mats.
Then I used my 3m lamination machine to Laminate them.

Once we were filled with sugar and goodies we went on a
"Spooky Hunt"

FLASHLIGHTS  - READY - SET - GO!

Settle down time (if that is even possible) We played with some play dough I made up ahead of time.

ISU Spooktacular

Our local University put on a wonderful Halloween Spooktacular Family Concert. The had a great time.

The Theme was Peter Wolf, however, the kids were encouraged to dress as Raiders of the Lost Ark & Pirates of the Caribbean.

As you can guess Ian went as Indian Jones & Leland went as a Pirate!

One of the "pre" concert activities was to go around the concert hall trying out all of the instruments that would be played in the orchestra.

While Ian kept playing Leland sat to listen to a story and joined in my playing the "Wind" with the Chimes.

The concert was amazing and we had a wonderful time.
